Faus & Moliner collaborates with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona
Jordi Faus lectures on pharmaceutical law at the master for graduate law students
The Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona has selected Faus & Moliner to participate in the course on regulated sectors that is part of the Master program for graduate law students.
Faus & Moliner partner Jordi Faus has lectured on the rules that apply to medicinal products in Spain and in the European Union. In his presentation Mr. Faus has highlighted that lawyers willing to operate in regulated sectors such as pharma should focus on four basic principles:
– Solid general legal knowledge that shall allow them to navigate through complex juridical issues.
– A deep knowledge of the sector where they aim to be active. Giving advice to a pharma company requires a good understanding of the social and economic environment where the industry operates.
– A good command of the regulations which are specific to the sector, something which may be difficult in a rapidly changing environment.
– International education and mastering at least one foreign language.
The presentation of Mr. Faus included also some practical cases aiming to show students the complexity of some of the issues that Faus & Moliner handles daily.
